Cortisol test NZ — at-home AM cortisol panel for women.
Cortisol is the stress hormone that gets dragged into perimenopause, postpartum recovery and burnout. A 7–9am home draw is the cleanest way to see whether your HPA axis is over-firing or running flat.
Her Form sends a nurse to your home in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Hamilton, Tauranga or Dunedin between 7–9am. Samples run through our accredited NZ partner-lab and our health specialists reads the result.
What we look at alongside cortisol
DHEA-S (adrenal reserve), TSH + free T3/T4 (thyroid drag mimics adrenal fatigue), estradiol + progesterone (cycle context), insulin + HbA1c (blood-sugar tail of chronic cortisol).
Cortisol alone is a single number. The story is in the pattern across these eight markers.
How to test cortisol levels in NZ
Book the home draw 7–9am. No coffee, no workout that morning. If you're on hydrocortisone, oral steroids or combined oral contraceptives, tell us when you book so our health specialists reads the result correctly.

How to test cortisol levels?+
A morning (7–9am) venous blood draw is the standard. At-home blood is more accurate than saliva for a one-shot read. Pair with DHEA-S for adrenal reserve.
Where can I get cortisol tested in NZ?+
Public-funded cortisol requires a GP request and usually a clinic appointment. Her Form is direct-to-consumer and at-home — most of NZ's main centres are covered.
Will cortisol show why I'm so exhausted?+
Sometimes — if cortisol is genuinely flat or sky-high. More often, the answer sits in the combination of cortisol + thyroid + iron + sex hormones. That's why our panel runs all of them.
How long for results?+
7–14 working days through the NZ partner-lab, with a written specialist review from Her Form's health specialists.
