The accuracy is the same; the experience isn't. Here's an honest decision guide on when at-home wins, when a clinic visit wins, and how Her Form does it.
The blood is the same blood. Accuracy comes from certified phlebotomy, validated tubes and an accredited lab — all of which Her Form uses. Where at-home wins is logistics: fasting at home, recovering on your couch, and (often) a calmer cortisol read because you didn't drive into traffic at 7am.

Is at-home blood draw as accurate as a clinic visit?+
Yes. The same certified phlebotomy technique, the same vacutainer tubes, the same accredited lab. The only thing that changes is the room — and the stress profile, which usually improves the cortisol read.
How long does an at-home draw take?+
About 15 minutes door-to-door. The nurse confirms identification, talks through the draw, takes 3–6 tubes, labels and chains-of-custody them, then transports to the lab the same day.
Can I fast safely at home?+
Yes — and it's usually easier. Book a morning slot, drink water, no coffee or food until the draw. You can return to breakfast within minutes.
What if I'm needle-shy?+
Tell the nurse when you book. We allocate extra time, draw lying down if you prefer, and bring smaller-gauge butterfly needles. Most needle-shy clients say at-home is significantly easier than a clinic queue.
Will a clinic visit ever beat at-home?+
Sometimes. If you need imaging (ultrasound, ECG), point-of-care testing, or a same-visit doctor consult, a clinic is the right place. We refer for those when relevant.
Is at-home cheaper or more expensive?+
Comparable — sometimes cheaper once you factor in transport, parking and the consult co-pay clinics often add. Her Form panels include written specialist review, so there's no separate interpretation fee.
