PCOS test in NZ — at-home panel that identifies subtype.
PCOS is a pattern with subtypes — insulin-driven, adrenal, post-pill, inflammatory. The protocol depends on which one.
Her Form runs the PCOS subtype panel at your home in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch.

When in my cycle should I test for PCOS?+
Day 2–5 if you still have cycles; any day if cycles are absent or very irregular. Our health specialists helps you time the draw correctly when you book.
Can you diagnose PCOS from a blood test alone?+
PCOS diagnosis uses the Rotterdam criteria — 2 of 3: irregular cycles, hyperandrogenism (physical or bloodwork), polycystic ovaries on ultrasound. Our panel covers the androgen and metabolic side; we'll tell you whether an ultrasound is the logical next step.
Is PCOS testing publicly funded in NZ?+
Basic tests (FSH, LH, testosterone) can be publicly funded in NZ with a GP referral. However, fasting insulin, SHBG and DHEA-S — the markers that identify subtype — are typically out-of-pocket. Her Form runs the complete PCOS panel direct-to-consumer at home.
How much does a PCOS test cost in NZ?+
Public-funded PCOS bloods are limited and referral-gated. A comprehensive private PCOS panel in NZ typically runs NZ$250–500. Her Form pricing is shown in IDR and the NZD total is confirmed at checkout.
I've been told I have PCOS but my bloods were 'normal' — is that possible?+
Very common. Standard panels often miss raised fasting insulin (the driver in 70–80% of PCOS) and low SHBG. Our PCOS panel includes these subtype-identifying markers by default.
Can PCOS affect fertility?+
Yes — but it's very manageable. PCOS is one of the most common causes of irregular ovulation in NZ women. Knowing your PCOS subtype (insulin-driven, adrenal, post-pill, inflammatory) is the starting point for a protocol that actually restores cycle regularity and improves conception odds.
