AMH by age — where does your number sit?

Enter your age and AMH (pmol/L or ng/mL) to see where it sits versus age-typical ranges for ovarian reserve. An educational reference — not a diagnosis.

Your AMH

1 ng/mL ≈ 7.14 pmol/L. Tool stores values in pmol/L for the reference comparison.

35–37 age band — typical AMH
728 pmol/L · median ~13
1.03.9 ng/mL · median ~1.8

Reserve begins a faster decline. A baseline now is genuinely useful for planning.

How to read this

  • · AMH is a population reference for ovarian reserve. It maps to the size of the egg pool, not the quality.
  • · Bands shown are broad reference ranges drawn from published age-stratified data; individual labs may use slightly different reference intervals.
  • · Hormonal contraception can suppress AMH 20–30%; it recovers off-treatment.
  • · A complete ovarian-reserve picture pairs AMH with day 2–4 FSH and estradiol, antral follicle count on ultrasound, and your cycle history.
Educational only. This tool is not a diagnosis or a fertility prognosis. AMH should be interpreted in symptom context by a qualified provider.

FAQ

AMH by age — common questions

Still unsure? Email hello@getherform.com.

What does AMH actually measure?+

Anti-Müllerian Hormone is produced by small developing follicles in the ovaries. It correlates with the size of your remaining egg pool (ovarian reserve), so it tracks broadly with reproductive age — not with whether any one cycle will conceive.

Is a low AMH a fertility diagnosis?+

No. AMH is one input. Plenty of women with low AMH conceive naturally and plenty with 'normal' AMH struggle. It informs how aggressively a fertility plan might need to move, and how an IVF clinic may stimulate. It is not a verdict.

Is a high AMH always good?+

Not necessarily. Very high AMH can flag PCOS-pattern ovaries. We look at AMH alongside cycle history, androgens (testosterone, DHEA-S), and ultrasound findings when relevant.

Does the pill or IUD affect AMH?+

Hormonal contraception can suppress AMH modestly (typically 20–30%). The number recovers off-treatment. We note this on the report so it isn't read as a true ovarian-reserve drop.

How accurate is this tool?+

It is a population reference, not a personal forecast. Real ovarian reserve assessment combines AMH, antral follicle count on ultrasound, FSH/estradiol on day 2–4, and your cycle pattern.

Which Her Form panel includes AMH?+

AMH is included in our Fertility Insights Package and is available as a standalone Ovarian Reserve test. Both come with written specialist review by our health specialists. Robyn is available for an optional 1:1 results consult.
